Biography
              CV

Sander Coers (b. 1997) is a Dutch artist working with photography based in Rotterdam whose work balances on the borders of documentary and fiction. With a tender and intimate gaze, he visualizes new perceptions of masculinity while exploring the complexities of love, friendship, and self-discovery through his own experiences and those of his family and friends. Coers' visual language is deeply inspired by the nostalgic memories of his youth in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, infusing vivid hues and profound emotions into his portraits, stills, and landscapes to create dream-like and melancholic worlds.

Sander graduated with honors in Fine Art from the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam in 2021. His graduation series, 'Come Home,' was selected for the Best of Graduates 2021 exhibition at Galerie Ron Mandos and received multiple awards. Since then, he has published two more books. In 2022, Sander was named the Rising Star by the Dutch newspaper NRC. He has exhibited in galeries and museums internationally, including in London, Milan, and Oslo. Additionally, his work has been featured in international magazines, including Vogue, i-D, Die Zeit, HERO, among others. His work has been acquired by the Rabobank, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various private collections.
